Elm Grove
MKP is working alongside Sutton Council in this major regeneration projects at both ends of Sutton High Street, delivering new homes and improving public spaces for the local community.
At the north-eastern end of the High Street, the Elm Grove scheme—delivered in partnership with developer Lovell—will replace 73 outdated 1970s properties with 276 modern, energy-efficient homes.50% of new homes will be provided as council housing.
Wider benefits to the town centre, include improved public spaces, extra greenery, and a new pedestrian-friendly east–west route linking Sutton High Street with Throwley Way. These changes aim to create a more welcoming and accessible environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.
At the south-western end of Sutton High Street, the Beech Tree Place development has been revised following a decision by Sutton’s Housing, Economy and Business Committee. The original plan for a mix of shared ownership and council rental homes has been changed to a fully rented scheme.
This update will significantly increase the number of council homes available in the borough. Most of the additional 35 properties will be allocated to households currently living in temporary accommodation, helping more families move into long-term, secure housing.
