Case Study
APEX ONE
The 26 storey, mixed-use residential-led development is strategically positioned above the twin tunnels of the Northern Line Extension to Battersea. The building forms a prominent architectural marker for the new Nine Elms Underground Station.
Our engineering team collaborated closely with the contractor and design consultants to ensure full coordination of the design and construction methodologies. We prioritised technical feasibility, cost efficiency and programme certainty delivering a high-quality and market-responsive solution meeting both, client expectations and infrastructure constraints.
As one of the largest regeneration projects in the country, the overall redevelopment of New Covent Garden Market will provide for a rationalisation and transformation of the existing 57-acre market site onto a smaller footprint of 37-acres, releasing 20-acres for a mixed-use redevelopment which will create a vibrant and distinctive new London District.
The residential tower will deliver 201 apartments over 26 storeys and includes retail and amenity space.
Apex One is the first building of the wider Apex development site which has outline consent for a further 422 homes and commercial space.
Apex One will be a highly sustainable, near net zero development, and will incorporate an architecturally distinctive two-storey Pavilion housing ground floor retail and a first-floor amenity area for residents, as well as a roof garden. The development will include significant public realm, providing a permanent landscaped pedestrian link between the Nine Elms Linear Park and Nine Elms tube station.
