Case Study

Battersea Power Station Phase 5a

MKP, in partnership with Battersea Power Station Development Company and Wandsworth Council, is delivering a landmark £9 billion transformation of a 42-acre site within Wandsworth’s RS-6 development zone, marking the next chapter in the regeneration of one of London’s most iconic locations.

The development builds on the established success of Battersea Power Station as a thriving destination for homes, businesses, and cultural experiences, further enhancing the area’s role as a dynamic and inclusive urban community.

As part of this next phase, new council homes will be delivered through the Council’s Homes for Wandsworth programme. The homes will be constructed on a currently undeveloped plot within Phase 5 of the Battersea Power Station masterplan, located to the east of the Grade II* listed Power Station building.

Working in partnership with Battersea Power Station Development Company and the Greater London Authority (GLA), Wandsworth Council is advancing a scheme that reflects shared ambitions for fair growth, high-quality placemaking, and the accelerated delivery of much-needed social housing at a nationally significant regeneration site.

The project will be financed through the Council’s existing Housing Revenue Account and supported by grant funding from the Greater London Authority, ensuring long-term value and sustainable investment for local communities
