Walsall Housing Group Offices

MKP acted as part of the project team on an ambitious project to deliver a new town centre office building for the Walsall Housing Group. The new office headquarters are situated within the Gigaport regeneration area and is helping in the development of a knowledge of economy within the town. The building is designed to encourage and facilitate a highly integrated and flexible workspace culture. The ‘Atrium Slice’ offers dramatic views of the landscape and and links department together.

MKP novated to the contractor in a Design and Build contract post-planning, whilst retaining a client side design team. The approach ensured that quality remained the highest priority. The project includes rainwater harvesting photovoltaics and solar water heating.

As a key member of the team, we produced an efficient solution to a challenging requirement to include innovations and prestige. The award-winning project has received a BREEAM Excellence rating.
